Keeper Rules
Each team owner will be able to keep a maximum of 9 players from their roster from season to season. A maximum 7 declared keeper players (veteran's) and 2 taxi squad players (who have to be rookies or 2nd year players). After each season teams will declare the 9 players they want.
The maximum players that can be kept at the Offensive or Defensive Positions is 6 players.
Therefore if 6 IOP are chosen, then only 3 IDP's can be chosen, vice versa and any combination in between these parameters.
The Keeper Player Deadline is 1st March.
Regular Season
The league regular season will run from weeks 1-13, teams playing each other team in their division twice while filling in the rest of the schedule with randomly selected teams via league software. Each team can play up to 3 doubleheaders per season if the NFL scheduling of bye weeks allows. Doubleheaders cannot be played in Weeks 1-3 of the season. The doubleheaders and the division rival games are intended to keep the playoff picture undecided as long as possible & to maintain maximum league interest in all games played.
If the NFL regular season is ever extended through a new collective bargaining agreement, additional regular weeks shall be added such that the last playoff game shall end 1 week before the end of the regular NFL season.
Scoring Rules
Please refer to league website for Scoring System.
Trading future picks/League Fees paid in lieu
League Fees will be $150 per season.
When completing a trade which involves future year picks, 50% of future pick years league fees will be payable within 1 week. For example, 50% of 2009 fees is $75. If a trade takes place with 2009 & 2010 picks being exchanged, that means $150 is payable.
Trade Deadline
Trade deadline prior to week 14 (playoff week 1) trades recommence after Championship Game
Injured Reserve
As per above, the only IR injury designations are allowed in IR.
Playoffs
6 teams will qualify for the playoffs, the 2 division winners will be seeded #1 & #2. The 4 remaining playoff positions will be given to the teams with the best overall winning percentage regardless of division. In the case of a tie, the below tie breakers rules will be enacted.
Tie Breakers
The tie breakers across all our leagues are quite simple and are the same for waiver wire order, regular season standings & playoff births. This is also detailed on the league website in the league by-laws.
#1: Overall Winning Percentage
#2: Total Points Scored
#3: Head-To-Head Record (only splits a tie between 2 teams, will be skipped if 3 or more teams)
#4: Divisional Winning Percentage
#5: Power Rank
Drafts
All drafts are a Slow Draft (4 hours per pick with draft clock stopped between Midnight and 8am) Using the 4 hour clock, if teams timeout twice, they will be placed on system auto-draft until they notify the commissioner to remove the auto-draft function. If that team has another timeout, they will be immediately returned to system auto-draft. This is not meant to be a putative measure to punish the owner. Everyone has emergencies etc and fantasy football can not take the highest priority. The point is to keep the draft moving, not to punish.
FYI, using the auto draft function will mean draft selections will be made in the following way: The system will automatically pick a player for the owner based the highest-ranked available player, first based on the owner's "My Draft List" player ranking, and then once that list is exhausted, according to rankings displayed on the ADP page. Note that pre-draft picks always take first precedence, so if an owner has pre-draft picks for a round, they will be checked for a possible draft pick instead of relying on this setting.
