I started playing fantasy football in 2007 with an office league. It was a lot of fun, and I almost managed to win the league against a lot of more experienced GMs. I was hooked!

After that I spent several years trying every format/league I could find on the internet with mixed results. Some leagues were fun, but each of them had it’s own problems: Bad Commissioners, Leagues like CBS that only paid-out 50% in winnings, Players making rigged trades, Tanking, Sometimes not even being able to collect my winnings! When I did find an honest league, the format didn’t allow for keeping good players, or didn’t have a good IDP format, or wasn’t for enough money to keep my interest.  I even tried to start my own leagues, that was a lot of work!

In 2012 I found Paragon Leagues. I joined Go Deep Dynasty League in Paragon. Almost immediately, I KNEW I HAD FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR:

Strong Competitive GMs (no deadhead teams), Honest Strong Commissioners, 100% Payouts, Year-Round Fantasy Football, Wide Open Trading Format, Well thought out IDP Formats that make all IDPs very important, and Playing for enough money to make it serious. Since my first Paragon League, I have joined an average of two Paragon Leagues per season, and now own teams in eight Paragon Leagues in various formats.  Each one is a different challenge, competing with other energized GMs, trying to prove that my teams are BEST!

Paragon is not cheap, but it is the best value on the fantasy market. The 100% pay-outs give me the best return on my investment of time and money in fantasy sports!  Now, I have shut down all my other leagues, and participate exclusively in Paragon.  Many Thanks to Brian and Chris for creating and maintaining these “Dream Leagues” for my favorite sport!!

I found the paragon leagues in 2013. Like most dynasty players i was getting tired of the redraft leagues and was ready to take the next step: what i found in paragon leagues was way more than i was expecting. A great and dedicated community led by trustworthy commissioners and for me it was like a dream coming true. I ve been playing in those leagues for three years now and i 'can t see myself playing fantasy football elsewhere than here. Rules have been really well thought but can evolve if needed. league's activity keeps u busy throughout the year as you go through franchise tag period, rookie draft and free agency just like a real NFL team. This is awesome, there is no other word. If you re passionate, u like to compete, trade and interact or just talk about football and everything related , you just found the right place to be.

"I have played in many, many different FF leagues over the past 12 years.   I was a founding player of the Paragon leagues and have been extremely impressed with the level of professionalism, courtesy, and capabilities of the commissioners of this league.  Whatever the format, these guys know how to run a league and make it look easy and seamless from the player’s perspective.  Speaking of the players, they make sure that the group of players are fantastic -- competitive and smack-talking without crossing the line into obnoxiousness or abusiveness.  Out of all my leagues and all my formats, this is the premier league that I belong to.  If you are looking for an excellent, high-end, professional fantasy football league, then you will not be disappointed with Paragon (assuming you can even get a spot). See you in the playoffs."

I’ve been playing fantasy football for about five years. Coming from the UK means that, by and large, I have to join a league where I don’t know many, if any, of the other players and the commissioner. I’ve had mixed results in terms of the quality of the leagues as I’m sure many have. Leagues disbanding, disputes among owners that aren’t resolved, low pay-outs, lack of chat and trading among the owners etc… Paragon is the opposite of that. I’ve now decided that I’m only going to play in Paragon leagues from now on. Everything about the leagues and the sites are top notch, helped in great part, I think by the active role that Chris and Brian play in all of them – something that isn’t always the case in my experience.

To highlight a few factors that make it so successful: all players have an important role to play – the IDPs aren’t just there for window dressing, the play-off structure in the 16 team leagues are innovative and a fairer way of structuring them, the pay-outs are extremely high with the kicker of dynasty leagues holding back payments till later years to encourage continued participation (although I doubt this would be a problem anyway) and perhaps most importantly, there’s a high level of involvement from all managers which leads to a lot of trading and banter among your rivals, many of which play in several leagues.

I couldn’t recommend these leagues more highly.

My local redraft and keeper leagues did not encompass everything that I wanted out of a Sunday afternoon.  The banter and gathering for the draft and a few games was something that kept everyone in touch, and that was great, but after years of pushing to up the ante a little it became painfully obvious that I was the only one who was that interested.  So I combed the forums.      I joined a few different on-line redraft leagues each year.  All were fiercely competitive yet lacked the local league banter and oh yeah kept 20%  plus of the total prize purse.  I joined a dynasty idp league. Always wanted idp's.  Looking back I should have known that the scoring relegated the idp's as a  mere afterthought.  In a addition the commish kept 30% of the prize pool.   Not exactly a horror story, but not exactly what I was looking for either.  So I combed the forums.      I found the Paragon leagues post and zeroed in on the dynasty format.  The details of the bylaws blew me away.   Division realignment, playoff structure, 3rd round reverse for the original draft, 16 teams, the flex positions, 100% of prize pool payed out, EVERYTHING!!!   The price point was a little more than most but what was the point of playing in a $50 dynasty league?  I went through the rules and scoring again...  this was good, in fact better than I could do.   I checked out the other Paragon leagues, equally impressive.  I better just do one though, so I went with the Dynasty.   After year one my only regret is that i didn't join any other formats.  I will this year.      My only trepidation occurred early in the season when a trade was protested.  I thought here we go again, how many times have I seen this?  And then a funny thing happened.  No crying, no whining,  just intelligent thought from a handful of owners who expressed there thoughts.  And we moved on without a wrinkle.   My hunt for a top notch fantasy football league ended at Paragon, yours will to.

PARAGON: A MODEL OF EXCELLENCE. WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY. There isn't a better way to describe what Brian & Chris have created here. I've played Fantasy Football since the 2005 season, and although I'd never had any bad experiences, I'd never had any great ones either. I had become disenchanted with the game. I had never found a league with the kind of depth and strategy that I was looking for. It had gotten to the point where I was really thinking of quiting Fantasy Football all together. But in early 2010 I stumbled across Paragon Fantasy Football, and all that changed. With Paragon, you get two fantastic commissioners (the forementioned Brian & Chris) who are dedicated to creating the best fantasy football experience possible. You get the most competitive owners who love the game. You get the strongest scoring system and rules that you'll find. Simply put, this is fantasy football at its best, and you'll only find it here. Paragon is second to none.

"What can I say, this is my first FF league and I loved it. I’m not sure if all the other leagues out there are as good as this one, but, I hope for everyone’s sake they are. Great people and I have not had any drama with the commish’s answering any of my questions. They have always been prompt and fair every time. Quick note: The people who play in this FF comp. are a great bunch, always friendly while also being competitive."

"I've played FF for well over a decade in a variety of leagues and formats. A few years ago I quit the free leagues and tried on for-profit site's pay leagues...big mistake. I had nothing but problems. That's where I met Brian and Chris and they were equally frustrated with the big pay sites experience so we moved one of our leagues over to DOOP, now Paragon. Chris and Brian have done an outstanding job as Commissioners in the leagues I am in and what's even more amazing is that they do it for free...100% pay outs. That's how much they love Fantasy Football. I highly recommend the leagues to everyone."

In this 20th year of my fantasy football career, I have yet to experience the perfect fantasy league...This Paragon league is as close as it gets.  As both a commissioner and player of multiple leagues and formats, this 32 team league is not just unique for unique's sake.  The fear of playing in such a large league is immediately quelled by the efficency and execution of the league creators.  I like their concepts of fantasy football so much, I am abandoning a league I have played in and created for 12 years, just for the oppurtunity to play in a second of their leagues.  It is so well done, that I believe that they should be paid for their hard work.

Hello there fantasy football fan. Let me first ask you, why are you reading this testimony? I think, if I may, I'll answer the question for you. You are taking the time to read this because you are a die hard fantasy football and NFL fan. Your passion for the NFL and fantasy football is so great that you look to immerse yourself in the world of NFL football as much as you possibly can. Well my friend, you have come to the right place. Not only will you meet other die hard football fans but you will obtain new friends, your knowledge of football will grow, and your love for the sport even more. Paragon fantasy football leagues are where the competition is at, and it is where you will have the most fun with fantasy football. From Dynasty, to keeper, to seasonal re-draft, or contract leagues, Paragon fantasy football is where diversification and consistency crash together. It's a whole new world of Fantasy football, but trust me when I say this, it is a fantasy football experience you do not want to miss.
For some the price may be a bit intimidating, but if you are like me you will easily be able to swallow that price after the experience you have with Paragon Fantasy Football. I'm a college student, and high price tags for entertainment is one of those things I tend to shy away from. However, fantasy football isn't entertainment, it is a life of it's own, and if you're reading this testimony, I have to believe that fantasy football and being an NFL fan is a great passion of yours, as it is mine.
The founders of the Paragon Fantasy Football leagues are the most trustworthy people I have ever met. They are strict yet understanding, receptive dedicated, and consistent, and they are die hard NFL fans; And they have also(after my 2 years of fantasy football with them) become my friends(even though they aren't Cowboys fans like myself). You needn't worry about where your money is being held, as all Paragon Fantasy Football leagues use Leaguesafe.com for financial transactions. Leaguesafe.com is a great and easy tool to use, and it has easily made the experience for fantasy football that much better.
I can't say enough about Chris and Brian and the experience with Paragon Fantasy Football leagues, but after nearly writing an essay and you taking the time to read it, I hope you will make the decision to accompany myself and fellow die hard fantasy football and NFL fans in an experience of NFL football like no other.

Paragon Fantasy Football is the answer to all your fantasy football needs.  I met Chris and Brian a few years ago while playing fantasy football on a different host website.  We started chatting as most team mangers do but not over trades or rules, rather the disappointment we found in using that particular site.  I'll keep the guilty website nameless.  As the conversations continued and more team managers voiced their negative opinions about that league, the need to find another place to play was obvious.  A few folks discussed what other options there are for finding a league.  Chris and Brian took these complaints to heart and they took it one step further.  They listened to the complaints, asked what die-hard fantasy football managers want to see in a league and a host site, and they built the Paragon Fantasy Football League. A true fantasy football managers league!!!

The software used to host the league is awesome.  It has a ton of options, is customizable to your team, and allows for streamlined communication with all managers. The last keeper league we were in had numerous software failures and breakdowns from draft day to the championship game. Not in Paragon. As for money, all monies are held by LeagueSafe which is very user friendly and easy to access.  I have never had a question about the financials here, who holds them, how they are accessed, etc.  In my second year with Paragon I have yet to come across any problems with the hosting site, league rules, the commissioner, other team managers, and most importantly, communications.  The league has generated a strong group of professional managers, competitive rules, and a great fantasy football experience.  If you are looking for a competitive league where you focus on the draft, the trade, the line-up, not who has my money and will the software work, then Paragon is for you!

Simply the best league I have ever played in by far, its not even close!  Paragon runs a fun, very competitive, and fair leagues with very detailed rules.   I love the how competitive the leagues are and yet so much fun interaction with many of the other teams.  Paragon is becoming my home for Fantasy Football.

Like many of you that may be considering a Paragon League, I went through that decision making process before joining the Veni Vidi Vici league last year despite not knowing anyone in the league.  I was initially drawn to the rules setup, the competition, and to the overall challenge.  It was my first league of this kind, and it was very fun and exciting.  I felt that the professional nature in which the commissioners Chris and Brian handled the league was exceptional and is why I am considering joining more Paragon FF Leagues this coming year.  You don't want to pass up on the opportunity to join a great league with a strong foundation and dedicated commissioner team.

The other testimonials here have covered most points pretty well so I’ll try not to re-hash those sentiments. This is my first Paragon league and it is a dynasty league so I can only opine on that one and what I hear of the others. After year one of the 32 team league, we have zero turnover and judging by how the year went, I highly doubt we’ll see any for fantasy football related reasons. Even if we do, the provisions the guys have in place would make it ridiculously easy to find replacements…the 5th year super pool, the untradeable compensatory picks, requiring partial future payment once a team has traded a set amount of draft picks. It ensures an owner can’t cruise and leave a team in shambles.

I usually join a new league every year but, as I’ve mentioned to the guys, Paragon has spoiled me for other leagues. Most of us have had less than ideal experiences with leagues in the past, so when you find a league this well-run and forward-thinking,  you cherish it. I recall looking for other leagues to join after our draft last year and any one I came across inevitably got placed next to Paragon as a yardstick and came up short.  Any future leagues I join will only be ones with these two at the helm.

Do yourself a favor. Read the common rulebook and league rules. Check out the scoring system. Those two documents are as much of a testimonial as what you read here. The attention to detail is incredible. I was initially hesitant because I hadn’t dealt with IDP and taxi squads etc. but the whole setup was trustworthy and I took the plunge. To say it exceeded expectations would be a gross understatement and the amount of work the lads do, simply for love of the game, is nothing short of amazing. I am looking forward to joining another of Chris and Brian’s start-ups like a kid does Christmas.

"I'm very grateful for the many paid sites I used prior to joining Chris in his vision to build a better set of leagues, and if any of them ever read this, THANK YOU for introducing me to such a great sport.  So why did I decide that any new leagues I joined would be under Paragon?  Clearly, we didn't want to run anything like a "business" or "for profit" enterprise.  We've got our own businesses and/or Jobs, and this is for fun, not money.  But what mattered the most to me was knowing that if we created the right set of leagues, set up using best in industry software, money holding organizations, etc... that without a ton of work and overhead, I would have a great place to play this sport.  I guess you could say I was "selfish" that way.  For me, the time I invest in each team, during the drafts, trading, free agent pickups, etc... represents the big investment I make.  Honestly, the money I may or may not win is nice, but the continuity of a great league, over many many years, with some degree of stability, is FAR more valuable.  By setting this set of leagues up right, and gathering a good group of guys that feel the same, we've managed to achieve my goal.  I can say with a great degree of certainty that I believe these leagues will be around years and years from now.  Before, it seemed like half the leagues I joined folded within 1-3 years, either due to lack of interest, fraud by some 16 year old kid posing as a trustworthy commish, or a for-profit owner that arguably kept too much of the prize pool for himself and couldn't attract enough new owners.  So, for me, this is very much a labor of love.  I will play in each and every league.  We won't bite off more than we can chew, which means that yeah, each year we'll always be turning away players wanting into our leagues because they are full.  But I'm very much looking forward to playing with this ever changing, but really cool, group of guys.  If you think this is a cool vision, and have searched like I did for leagues that will be around for many years, and most importantly, you are willing to be an active, involved owner committing to a league for 5+ years, then I look forward to playing with you."

I've been playing fantasy football for around 10-12 years and over that time I've seen both ends of the spectrum with regards to the quality of leagues, the players in those leagues and the commissioners running the leagues.  I've realized what I would personally like to see in the leagues that I'm investing my time and energy into.  I want to play in leagues with quality players and run by commissioners who ensure that the long term viability of the league is paramount, having the best interest of all of those fantasy football players at the forefront of their decision making.  I didn't want to be a part of leagues where I was worrying/concerned about these external matters which were completely out of my control anyway.

In a lot of ways, that seemed like a fairly tall order to expect this level of service from someone else so after realizing that Brian Hatch and myself were of a like mind on these matters, we felt the best way to go was to do it ourselves.  To create and play in leagues that we would be excited about playing in.  I believe that's what we have been able to achieve with Paragon fantasy football to date and I have no doubt we will be doing our best to ensure we keep our service to the highest possible level, hence why I feel Paragon is such an apt name for our collective leagues.

We will continue to provide leagues that challenge our players, that attract a high quality fantasy football player who is seeking these challenges, attracting players who want to invest and commit their time/money/efforts into an our leagues.  I am thankful that we have already been able to attract a good core of players who are a part of multiple leagues here at PFFL and we will do our best to attract more ensuring the overall quality of what we are trying to achieve only gets better as well.
